Senior/Lead Service Design Consultant
My client is a leading global design consultancy who provide in-depth solutions and experience which differs their clients from the rest. They are looking to expand their Service Design team and seeking a highly skilled consultant that has excellent experience with all service design tools, skills and processes. The successful candidate will need to be strategic and at ease with Visual Design, UXD, IA, UI, Business design, Spatial design and Organisation design. A key part of this role is to work quickly and efficiently towards leading huge programmes unsupported, managing clients and stakeholders and delivering remarkable service design. This company cannot accept any less than transformative and outstanding.
Lead numerous clients and teams without support whilst maintaining nothing less than the delivery of high quality design and vision.
Working closely with the Client Directors, Practice Director, Management Consultants and Program Managers
Ensure quality throughout all projects by overseeing processes and supervising multiple teams
Provide expert knowledge and experience with Service Design research and design procedures, practices and tools. Develop their customers/clients application for enhanced business outcomes.
Identify potential opportunities within projects and work with Client Services and New Business Development team to sell and up sell.
Build rapport and develop strategic relationships with existing and current accounts. Support management with plans to develop accounts.
Contribute to pitches, development of proposals and proposals, whilst evolving their company’s commercial portfolio.
Assist the Practice Director with allocating people and assist with the recruitment to each project
Assist and contribute with the creation and implementation of new methodologies. Also, help carry out existing methodologies in the work area.
Deliver training to the team with new and existing methodologies.
Attending industry events in the UK and internationally
Join with other services and create new and merged solutions
Recommend technologies and frameworks providing vision for their clients
Wide-ranging and evident experience with detailed contextual research, quantitative research, journey mapping, rapport development, holding design meetings, service prototyping, embedding design and implanting change.
Expert level with creative techniques with superb intuition. Ability to deliver ‘out of the box’ and innovative conceptual thinking, analytical mindset whilst also being headstrong with engineering.
Comfortable with using Big Data to configure business implications, whilst delivering value to clients.
At least 8 years in Service Design and Innovation. The bulk of your experience will need to be a leadership position.
Comfortable and proficient with Visual Design, UXD, IA, UI design, Spatial Design, Business Design and Organisation Design.
Lead projects across any sector. Vast range of project experience with Service Design for various sectors would a massive bonus.
Excellent design research knowledge with both quantitative and qualitative methodologies and experience with implementing them effectively.
Worked with both large global scale organisations right through to smaller start-up companies.
Experience integrating impact data and commercial effort into the product journey and concept outputs and then explaining the implications to the client.
Presenting case studies of projects across all sectors.
Excellent communication skills, from negotiation to influencing both written and verbal. Able to deliver complex ideas in clear and pro-active fashion.
Past line-management experience
Ability to plan and cost multi-disciplinary programmes of work
Must be proficient with Adobe CS.
Write at a high standard, especially English. Other major languages are a bonus.
Work and deliver towards tight deadlines.
Must be able to present a portfolio including the above skills.
