My client is a rapidly growing start up that helps bring small businesses in to the digital age by creating clean and functional websites along with providing them with a range of digital marketing services regardless of industry or type of business. My client is also working on launching a service marketplace for consumers soon.
The Sales & Direct Marketing Manager will be reporting to the founders and will drive marketing efforts across Europe to acquire small business customers.
They are looking for someone who has demonstrated experience in direct marketing with a focus on sales and has in-depth knowledge and understanding of offline and online marketing processes. A candidate who has commercially scaled an early stage business and knows what to expect from such a challenge would be a bonus.
The Sales and Direct Marketing manager will be responsible for strategy and planning but will also be hands on with the execution.
Establish all aspects of online and offline direct marketing:- Email, SMS, snail mail etc.
Deliver on customer acquisition and revenue targets.
Work and communicate with telesales teams regarding marketing and product plans to help drive acquisition.
Help to build and establish a B2B brand focused on the small business community in a variety of European markets.
Develop segmentation and customer insights to help create personas and more targeted campaigns.
Build and optimise a sales & marketing lead funnel
Improve and optimise signup funnel and drive more inbound traffic.
Degree in marketing or business preferred.
Ideally more than 5 years of marketing or direct marketing experience along with 2+ years in a team leading/management role.
Highly analytical and technical individual who can use the tools required to run the analysis required to drive and support decision making.
Exceptional leader with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ideal if you have previous experience of working in a start-up environment.
Up to date and solid knowledge of SEO, Social Media, SEM, Direct Marketing, Affiliates, PR.
An innovative and creative thinker who is confident of exploring and bringing new ideas and solutions to the table.
Good experience with data visualisation tools and CRM systems.
A Big bonus would be having experience with subscription business models.
