My client is leading in the IT Managed Services sector and is seeking a Cloud Architect to join their team. You will be a Senior Cloud Architect and will need to present technical knowledge and lead with it for hybrid cloud and converged Infrastructure architectures inside the business.
Duties:
- Technical leadership for hybrid cloud and converged infrastructure architectures
- Develop and maintain consistent architecture standards and roadmaps
- Subject matter expert for hybrid cloud, converged infrastructure, cloud management, orchestration and automation tools within the Platform Team
- Provide Level 3 Support for Platform/Cloud, HA and DR technologies
- Provide Level 2/3 Support for Platform/Converged Infrastructure technologies
- Develop/Support key operational processes, including change, problem, incident and demand management to ensure Platform meets regulatory and customer requirements.
- Take a key role in key client projects and tasks to ensure successful delivery
- Maintain agreed Vendor Cloud and Converged Infrastructure certifications, ie VCDX-Cloud (VMware Certified Design Expert) and FlexPod Design
Experience
- Providing Hybrid Cloud/Enterprise Infrastructure Architecture designs and standards in Metro-HA and Beyond Metro DR configurations
- Understanding Cloud Platforms from a service provider perspective
- Understanding Vulnerability Information, Assessment and Management processes
- Understanding of Cloud and Infrastructure automation and orchestration
- Regulatory frameworks, such as PCI-DSS, and a good understanding of the work required attaining and maintaining these
- Converged Infrastructure: FlexPod, VersaStack, Vblock, VxRack
- Domain Services: Active Directory, DNS, Certification
- Hybrid Cloud solutions: vCloud, Azure, Softlayer, AWS
- Hybrid IT Infrastructure Automation: vROps, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Vagrant
- Hypervisor: vSphere, Hyper-V, OpenStack
- Monitoring Tools: vROps, Spectrum UIM/NimsoftScripting Languages: Shell, Ruby, Perl, Python, PowerShell
- VCDX-Cloud or similar level of knowledge
- Virtualisation: vSphere, Hyper-V, Docker, vSAN, NSX, Cisco ACI
