My client is looking for a Computer Support Specialist. We offer a fantastic career progression opportunity for the right candidate with exceptional benefits. You are required to provide hardware and software support for our client within a data environment. You will be installing, maintaining and repairing systems with training provided.
Responsibilities
- To configure system hardware
- To install and maintain customer equipment
- To identify problems and ensure all calls are resolved within the agreed SLA
- To manage escalations for data issues
- To work with on-site team to maintain network
- To log incidents (essential)
Skills required
- Experience and understanding of common Internet Protocols including HTTP, HTTPS and SMTP.
- In-depth understanding of DNS based and hardware load balancing technologies.
- Maintain data centre environmental and monitoring equipment.
- University Degree in the field of Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with phone system administration.
- Deploying and rolling out infrastructure on Docker or LXC.
- Excellent communication skills
- Report writing
- Ability to work individually and within a team
- Willingness to work flexible hours
